Privacy Policy

Effective date: 1 November 2026. This policy applies to astro.nxtwaveai.com and the Astavya mobile app.

What We Collect

Account data: email address, display name and (optionally) a profile photo.
Birth data you enter: date, time and place of birth for astrological profiles. This data is used only to compute your chart and is visible only to you.
Usage data: anonymised interaction logs (page views, calculator uses) collected via server logs. No third-party analytics scripts are loaded.
Booking data: when you book a consultation, we store the booking details, messages and payment reference.
Payment data: we do not store card numbers. Payments are processed by Stripe (for international cards) or Khalti / eSewa (for Nepal). We receive only a transaction reference.

How We Use Your Data

To provide the service: computing charts, showing the Panchang, matching profiles.
To communicate: transactional emails (booking confirmations, password reset). We do not send marketing emails without your opt-in.
To improve the service: anonymised aggregate analysis of which calculators are most used.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:

Stripe / Khalti / eSewa: for payment processing.
Amazon S3: for storing uploaded files (e.g. palm images, profile photos). Files are private by default.
Anthropic: AI responses are generated using the Claude API. Prompts include your astrological data but not your name or email.

Your Rights

You can access, correct or delete your account and all associated data from Settings → Account → Delete Account. Deletion is permanent and takes effect within 30 days. For requests or questions, email privacy@nxtwaveai.com.

Cookies

We use one session cookie (httpOnly, secure, SameSite=Lax) to keep you logged in. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies are set.

Data Retention

Active account data is retained while your account exists. Deleted account data is purged within 30 days. Server logs are retained for 90 days.

Changes

We will notify you by email if we make material changes to this policy. Continued use of the service after 30 days constitutes acceptance.
