Understand this calculator

What it does

Checks whether Mars is in one of the houses (1, 2, 4, 7, 8, 12) traditionally associated with the Manglik indicator, counted from the lagna and also from the Moon and Venus, and lists the classical exceptions that cancel it.

Why it matters

Manglik is the most discussed point in marriage matching in Nepal and India. The tool shows exactly what the rule says about your chart and how often it is cancelled.

How it is worked out

  1. Find Mars's house from the lagna, from the Moon and from Venus.
  2. Mark the indicator if it falls in the listed houses and record which reference points trigger it.
  3. Check the exceptions (for example Mars in its own or exalted sign, aspected by Jupiter).

How to read your result

  • The facts show Mars's house from each reference point.
  • 'Level' says absent, mild or present. Exceptions and cautions follow.

What it cannot tell you

Schools differ on which houses and reference points count; a large share of charts show the indicator. It is not a verdict on a relationship, and many couples with it have long marriages.
