Why it matters
In many Nepali and Indian families a baby's name starts with the syllable linked to the birth nakshatra pada. This tool does that lookup correctly in seconds.
How it is worked out
- Find the Moon's nakshatra and pada at birth.
- Look up the syllable assigned to that pada in the traditional table (4 syllables per nakshatra, 108 in all).
How to read your result
- The syllable is the sound a name would traditionally begin with.
- Some families use a different table or the day-of-birth sound; the tool notes that lists vary by region and lineage.
What it cannot tell you
Naming ideas are suggestions only. The tool says clearly that no name determines a child's future, and families should choose a name they love.
