What it does

Builds your Navamsa (D9), the chart that splits every sign into nine parts of 3°20′ and shows where each planet lands among them.

Why it matters

The tradition reads the Navamsa as the finer view of a planet's real strength, and as the chart of marriage and dharma. It is the first divisional chart astrologers consult after the main chart.

How it is worked out

  1. Take each planet's sidereal longitude from the main chart.
  2. Divide its sign into nine equal slices (one per ).
  3. The slice number plus the sign's element decides the Navamsa sign: fire signs start counting from Aries, earth from Capricorn, air from Libra and water from Cancer.

How to read your result

  • The chart: tap a planet to see the sign it occupies in D9.
  • A planet in the same sign in D1 and D9 is , traditionally a strength.
  • The checksum proves the table was built by the documented rule and can be reproduced.

What it cannot tell you

A tiny error in birth time can move a planet to a different Navamsa sign, because each slice is only 3°20′ wide. Treat D9 as the most time-sensitive divisional chart.
