Understand this calculator

What it does

Checks the Nadi koota alone, the eight-point part of Guna Milan that compares the two people's Nadi (Adi, Madhya or Antya), and any cancellations.

Why it matters

Nadi carries the most points in matching (8), so a zero here is the part families worry about most.

How it is worked out

  1. Each nakshatra belongs to one of three Nadis.
  2. Same Nadi gives 0 points and the Nadi dosha; different Nadis give 8.
  3. Classical exceptions (for example same nakshatra but different pada, or certain Moon-sign pairs) are checked.

How to read your result

  • The two Nadis, the points, whether the dosha is present and which cancellation applies.

What it cannot tell you

A traditional rule linked to constitution and health compatibility; it has no scientific basis and the texts list many exceptions.
