What it does

Finds your Arudha Lagna (AL, or pada), the sign that Jaimini astrology reads as how you are perceived by the world, alongside all twelve arudha padas.

Why it matters

The lagna shows what you are; the Arudha Lagna is read as the image others hold of you. The difference between the two is a classic Jaimini teaching.

How it is worked out

  1. Find the sign of your lagna and its lord's sign.
  2. Count from the lagna to its lord, then the same distance again from the lord.
  3. If the result falls in the lagna itself or in the 7th from it, the tradition takes the 10th from that sign instead.

How to read your result

  • The Arudha Lagna sign and its house from the lagna.
  • The 'all padas' table gives A1 to A12, one for each house.

What it cannot tell you

Needs an exact birth time since it starts from the lagna. Jaimini interpretation is a reflective tool, not a prediction.
